Here. A cotton candy kitten should make this bitter medicine a little easier.

I have a page on Facebook called Everyone Hates Midjourney. Yes, I know the evil that is Facebook. It’s a tool and I make it work for me. Anyway, the page is a collection of essays, some are mine, some belong to other writers whose opinions I respect. Not all of these essays are positive in their view of the situation about generative AI, but I wanted a wide swath of ideas and responses.

What is generative AI?

Generative AI refers to a branch of artificial intelligence that focuses on creating new content rather than just analyzing existing data or making predictions based on patterns. It involves training a machine learning model to generate original and creative outputs, such as images, music, text, or even entire virtual worlds.

At the core of generative AI is a type of algorithm called a generative model. This model is trained on a large dataset to learn the patterns and structures within it. Once trained, the model can generate new samples that resemble the original dataset.

Generative AI has found applications in various fields. For example, in art
